Ha Long City, located in Quang Ninh Province, is home to the world-famous Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its breathtaking limestone karsts and emerald waters. As a major economic, cultural, and tourism hub, Ha Long offers a blend of natural beauty, modern infrastructure, and rich local culture.
With a well-developed transportation system, including highways, seaports, and Van Don International Airport, the city is easily accessible. Its thriving tourism industry is complemented by a strong economy, particularly in trade, services, and coal mining. Visitors can explore stunning caves, floating fishing villages, and vibrant night markets while enjoying fresh seafood delicacies.

LANGUAGE:
Vietnamese is the official language. English and Chinese are widely understood and spoken at airports, hotels, and restaurants in Ha Long City.
LOCAL TIME:
Ha Long City is seven (7) hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT+7), which is the same Time zone as Bangkok and Jakarta.
SIM CARD:
Participants can pre-order an eSIM online, or buy one at a Physical store on arrival.
The popular phone companies are: Vinaphone, Viettel and Mobifone.
INTERNET ACCESS:
Vinpearl Hotel & Spa Resort will provide Wi-Fi to all participants during their stay.
Purchasing a Sim card with enough data can be recommended for personal use, depending on the participants' needs. The mobile phone companies are the same as those listed above.
VOLTAGE AND ELECTRICAL OUTLETS:
The standard voltage is 220V and the standard frequency is 50-60Hz.
There are two (2) associated plug types in Vietnam, as seen below. It is recommended to bring an adaptor for your chargers and electrical gadgets for convenience.
CLIMATE AND OUTFIT:
The conference will take place from October 2-4, during autumn in Vietnam. The weather in Ha Long is mild, with temperatures ranging from 24°C to 32°C. Rain showers may occur occasionally.
- For meetings: Smart casual attire is recommended.
- For outdoor activities: Comfortable clothing, light jackets, and sun protection (hats, sunglasses, sunscreen) are advised.
- For exploring Ha Long Bay: Bring breathable clothing, comfortable shoes for cave visits, and swimwear if you plan to enjoy the water.
Participants are encouraged to bring mosquito repellent and rain gear, as the weather can be unpredictable.
